Tyger
A printed adaptation of three late C17th crewelwork embroidered bed hangings, one in particular, wth tiger striped tree of life format. These hangings show the strong influence of Indian imported cloths, freely interpreted by needleworkers of the William and Mary period. The pattern has been given a subtle toning and colouration to give the illusion of the original embroidery.
